New: Assault Mode
The Assault bot mode is a new feature designed to help you conduct Frontline Assault events in Modern War (and Street Assault in Crime City), schedule roll calls, and track participation just like you do in WD/BfEC events.
In Assault mode, the bot works similarly to the conventional mode, with the 3 states: Idle, Roll Call, and War. The main difference is that there is no intel management in War mode. Additionally, the bot can now keep track of the available deploys for all team members, and produce a separate attendance report at the end of the event.
Commands like status, blitzroll, nextroll, timesync, attendance work the same.
How to use the Assault mode:
- Before the event begins, switch your bot to Assault mode my typing "gamemode Assault" just once.
- Start roll calls by typing "roll call".
- If you don't know how many deploys you have, check in by saying "here". At your very first check in, the bot will assume you have 100 deploys available, and start the regeneration timer. At the following check ins, the bot will try to estimate the number of your regenerated deploys.
- If you intend to purchase additional deploys during the upcoming battle, say "here" followed by the total number of deploys you intend to spend, e.g. "here 1000"
- 'whoishere' command can be used at any time and will display the total number of available deploys for the whole team
- When a new war starts, switch the bot to the War state by typing "at war" (there's no need to specify the opposing teams' name). The War state will time out in 60 minutes. The bot will post a warning shortly before the war ends so you can place your final hits. Use "timesync mm:ss" to correct the timer.
- Always report the deploys you've used by saying "deployed" followed by any number, e.g. "deployed 1000".
- You can simply say "deployed all" if you've used up all your available regenerated deploys
- You can still check in when in War mode. If you need to correct the number of your available deploys, simply say something like "here 150"
- Unless you've previously checked in during a Roll Call, checkins in War mode are counted as Late checkins in the attendance report
- "blitzroll" command is also available in this mode. Use it in the last minutes of the war to see who is available for the final rush, and with how many deploys.
- "status" and "holdfire" commands also work as usual
- the Quick Target room will obviously return no targets in this mode, however you can now set a custom announcement for the Target room by using the command "setnote" followed by any text, e.g. "setnote Hit the Supply Depot!". This can be useful to simplify coordination when you have players who need to place the hits quickly and move on. The note resets with every new war. To clear the existing note, use "delnote".
- When the war ends, you can schedule the next roll call by saying "nextroll hh:mm"
- While the bot is idle, the Quick Target room will continue to report every player's estimated regenerated deploys.
- At the end of the event, type "attendance" to display the attendance report. The report will show the following:
- Total Checkins
- Late check ins
- Blitz check ins
- Total deploys used
- After the event finishes, switch the bot back into the Battle mode by typing "gamemode Battle"
There is no separate charge for Assault events. The bot will use no credits for these events, and will be available to all customers with active bots.
Note: this is an experimental feature and may change or go away at any time. As always, user feedback to botmaster@botofwar.com is welcome!
